Al-Maqasid Seminary Admissions
Objective
Our admissions process is structured in stages to ensure clarity for applicants and sustainability for the learning environment. The admissions process is a multi-stage admissions process designed to ensure academic readiness, maturity, financial transparency, and mission alignment for incoming students. The process emphasizes fairness, rigor, and sustainability while allowing flexibility for qualified applicants.
THE AL-MAQASID SEMINARY SEEKS STUDENTS WHO ARE:
We seek students prepared for rigorous study, committed to adab, and dedicated to the principles the Seminary is built upon: knowledge, devotion, and service

| Disciplined in managing a rigorous class schedule, reviewing lessons, and finishing all assignments* |
| Dedicated to being involved in Al-Maqasid’s devotional offerings, such as the daily prayers and weekly gatherings of remembrance |
| Respectful of others and foster a sense of community and belonging |
| Available for full-time study (this includes obligations such as work, etc.) |
For new applicants - please set aside approximately 2 hours to complete the full application.
Current students continuing into the seminary should also use this same application to fill out the "Continuing Student Enrollment Form".
PROCESS
Please submit an application via the "start application" button. Applicants will be directed to register on a dedicated platform where they will be required to create an account and continue the application process.
- 18 years of age or older (Exceptions maybe made for students under 18 or currently in high school on a case by case basis)
- U.S. Permanent Resident
- High School diploma or its equivalent
Application Deadline: March 31st, 2026. (Application fee is $50).

- Seminary Fees
Course Fees: $7,500/year (includes textbooks) Application fee: $50
Lodging: $5,500/year
Please note a security deposit of $500 will be required
Applicants will be required to:
1-page personal statement
3 non-family references
Financial aid application (if requesting aid)
Lodging application (if requesting lodging)
Islamic studies background questionnaire
example of a graded work
Provide a copy of a government-issued ID
Applications are open between January 10 - March 31st.
All applicants will be contacted no later than May 31st regarding their admissions status.
